Made from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and black anodized for additional strength, Railtac's line of patent pending picatinny rail adapters for subcompact and 1-2nd Gen Glock and Kahr pistols easily attaches to your pistol without drilling, gunsmithing, or performing permanent modifications. No tools are required for installation and removal requires only a small screwdriver.
HOW DOES THE RAILTAC PICATINNY RAIL ADAPTER ATTACH TO MY FIREARM?
The adapter attaches to your pistol using 3M VHB adhesive tape, which provides an incredibly strong and permanent attachment to both alloys and polymers for a 100% reliable and recoil proof design. The same adhesive tape is heavily utilized in aerospace, construction, and automotive industries as a permanent replacement for rivets and mechanical fasteners. The adhesive also resists oils, solvents, heat, and heavy recoil.
If you decide to remove the adapter you can do so by using a small screwdriver to pry between the adhesive tape and the adapter through a special recessed area found on both sides of the adapter. Once the adapter is removed, the adhesive tape is easily removed by hand in a single fluid motion without leaving any sticky residue or film.
